The Secretary of Electrical Energy (SEE) made a bidding call for new capacity under Resolution 21/2016, in which Grupo Albanesi was awarded all of its offers for a total capacity of 420 MW. 24 companies offered in total 61 different projects for a total of 6,607 MW.
On June 14, 2016, through Resolution 155/20016, the SEE awarded 1,915 MW, which included Grupo Albanesi’s offers, being amongst them the 150 MW of Central Térmica Ezeiza.
Central Térmica Ezeiza is a greenfield project which involves the acquisition of an 8hectares field in the Ezeiza district, the construction of a new power plant and the installation of three Siemens SGT-800 turbines of 50 MW each.
The PPA executed with CAMMESA stipulates a committed capacity of 139.5 MW and two stages of the project: the first one of 100 MW to become operative during the second half of 2017 and the second one of 50 MW to become operative during the first quarter of 2018.
On September 2017, we completed the first stage of the project and we obtained the authorization to begin commercial operations with the first 100 MW installed (93 MW of committed capacity under PPA).
On February 2018, we completed the second stage and we obtained the authorization to begin commercial operations with additional 50 MW installed, reaching a total capacity of 150 MW.
